Upon completion of this application-based program, the technician will be able to: 1) Describe proper technique when drawing up and administering immunizations (video); 2) Recognize vaccines, vaccine required preparations, and their appropriate routes of administration' 3) Identify proper supplies, needle size, and needle length based on vaccine, patient age/size; 4) Identify proper documentation, reporting (includes NMSIIS), and vaccine storage requirements; 5) Describe safety measures to avoid accidental needle stick injuries and 6) Describe appropriate procedures needed for emergency situations.
Participants are required to turn in a completed program evaluation form to receive the designated CEUs. Your CPE credits will be submitted into the CPE Monitor Database within 60 days based on the information provided on this form. The Immunization Training Certification will not be acknowledged until the full 5 hour training is complete, a passing quiz grade and full payment has been received.
The New Mexico Pharmacists Association is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This application-based program provides 3.0 contact hours (0.3CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education home-study credit and is designed for pharmacists. Participants must have a passing grade of 70% on the home-study quiz and are required to turn in a completed program evaluation form to receive the designated CEUs. Your CPE credits will be submitted into the CPE Monitor Database within 60 days based on the information provided on the program evaluation form.
